SO D'ORO
Few opportunities arise to race a lightly raced, metropolitan-performed filly by one of Australia's greatest staying sires. With just seven career starts, So D'Oro has already won over 1800 metres, competed at Group level and now heads to Queensland to continue her career with one of the state's leading young trainers.
Her form has continued to stand up strongly. Earlier this preparation she produced an eye-catching fifth after racing three-wide throughout behind Providence, who subsequently went on to claim the Group 1 Queensland Derby during the Brisbane Winter Carnival. She later earned a start in the Group 3 Adrian Knox Stakes at Randwick—one of Australia's premier races for staying fillies—highlighting the regard in which she has always been held.
Most recently, she further enhanced her credentials with a metropolitan placing at Canterbury before heading north to Queensland. Now in the care of the in-form Jack Bruce stable, we believe the move presents an exciting opportunity for this progressive young filly to continue her development in Queensland's middle-distance and staying ranks.
SO D'ORO
Versatile and genuine, So D'Oro has already demonstrated the toughness and staying qualities that have become synonymous with the progeny of her champion sire. Out of the metropolitan-winning staying mare Ragazza D'Oro, she possesses the pedigree of a filly whose best racing is likely to come with maturity.
Like many of So You Think's most successful progeny, she profiles as the type to continue improving as she strengthens, making her an exciting prospect through her four-year-old season and beyond.
Following the recent passing of So You Think, opportunities to race one of his daughters are becoming increasingly rare, adding further appeal to this exciting young staying prospect.
After enjoying a spell at the prestigious Newhaven Park Stud in New South Wales, So D'Oro has now arrived in Queensland. She will enjoy a further three weeks in the paddock before commencing her preparation with Jack Bruce Racing, allowing her every opportunity to continue developing into the quality middle-distance and staying mare we believe she can become.
