MAGIC MILLIONS -
SPIRIT OF BOOM Colt Means Business
High Calibre Racing is delighted to welcome a standout Spirit Of Boom x Conducir colt to the team, purchased at the Magic Millions and secured with clear intent. This colt immediately impressed with his presence, strength and athleticism — a type that consistently performs in Queensland’s most competitive two-year-old races.

He will be trained by Hall of Fame conditioner Tony Gollan, whose success with Spirit Of Boom progeny speaks for itself. Tony has long regarded Spirit Of Boom as one of his preferred sires for producing tough, fast, early runners, and this colt fits the profile perfectly.
Built to go early and developed with a clear plan, he will be given every opportunity to target the Magic Millions Carnival as a two-year-old, with the $3 million Magic Millions Classic firmly in sight.

This is a colt that ticks a lot of boxes — and one we’re genuinely excited to watch unfold in the Green & Black silks.
Exceptionally well-bred colt
Sire: SPIRIT OF BOOM — a Group 1–winning sprinter and one of Queensland’s most dominant and reliable stallions of the past decade. Celebrated for producing fast, tough and naturally precocious racehorses, Spirit Of Boom has built an exceptional record with two-year-olds and elite sprinters, particularly on the Magic Millions stage.
His progeny include Group and stakes performers such as Jonker, Outback Barbie, Ef Troop, Boomsara and Prince Of Boom — horses renowned for their speed, durability and will to compete. Collectively, Spirit Of Boom’s progeny have amassed more than $60 million in prizemoney, reinforcing his reputation as a sire that consistently delivers at the highest level.

Dam: CONDUCIR — a mare from a deep, high-class international female line. Closely related to two-time Group 1 winner Yankee Rose, who went on to produce four-time Group 1 superstar Liberty Island, this pedigree is rich in class, performance and genetic depth.

Together, this pedigree profiles as one built to perform early — and one that carries the strength to keep delivering as expectations rise.

Hall of Fame Trainer - Tony Gollan

This colt will be trained by Tony Gollan, a trainer who requires little introduction. Inducted into the Australian Racing Hall of Fame last season, Tony’s record has been built on sustained success at the elite level, particularly with speed-focused, Queensland-bred horses aimed at the state’s biggest races.

Tony’s experience with Spirit Of Boom progeny is both deep and deliberate. Over many seasons, he has trained a significant number of the sire’s best performers, developing a clear understanding of the type, their physical make-up, and how to prepare them for early racing without compromising longevity. That familiarity is a genuine advantage — one formed through results.

This colt has been selected specifically with that experience in mind. Trained by someone who knows exactly what these horses need and when they are ready, he will be given every opportunity to progress along a proven pathway toward the Magic Millions Carnival and beyond.

Built Like an Athlete
This colt presents as a strong, athletic Spirit Of Boom type with excellent balance and presence. He has good length and scope, a powerful hindquarter, and a clean, well-set shoulder that allows him to move freely and efficiently. Importantly, he carries his substance without looking heavy, a trait commonly seen in Spirit Of Boom’s better early runners.

In motion, he shows a fluent, natural action and moves with ease. He is well balanced and athletic. He carries himself with confidence and composure, giving the impression of a colt who should take well to early education and thrive in a professional training environment.

Overall, he profiles as a colt with the physical tools, movement and presence to progress quickly, while still offering the strength and substance to develop beyond his juvenile season.
